ISLAMABAD: The district administration of Islamabad has declared a two-day closure of schools, colleges, and offices on July 31 and August 1 (Monday and Tuesday). The holiday in Islamabad is scheduled dueย to the visit of Chinese vice prime minister He Lifeng.

District Magistrate Irfan Nawaz Memon announced the closure of all public and private schools, colleges, and universities. Furthermore, the notification stated that all private entities, companies, markets/shops, and commercial banks will remain closed during the visit of Vice Premier He Lifeng of China.
He Lifeng, who is also a Special Envoy of President Xi Jinping, is scheduled to visit Pakistan from July 30 to August 1. The purpose of his visit is to participate in the 10th-anniversary celebrations of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He will also meet with the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
