A new report suggests Xiaomi has discontinued its popular Civi smartphone series. However, the company has not officially confirmed the decision.
According to well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi has ended the lifestyle-focused lineup. The tipster also claimed there are no signs the series will return with another generation.
Since Xiaomi has not made an official announcement, the report should still be treated as unconfirmed.
Xiaomi Civi 6 May No Longer Be in Development
The latest report appears to end months of speculation surrounding the Xiaomi Civi 6.
Earlier reports claimed Xiaomi had cancelled the device because of disappointing sales from the previous model. Later, another leak suggested development had resumed and revealed several expected specifications.
The rumored device was expected to feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a 200MP main camera. It was also tipped to include a dedicated remappable AI button.
In addition, leaks pointed to a 6.59-inch quad-curved display, a 50MP front camera, and a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
Other rumored features included dual speakers, a metal frame, and a glass back panel.
However, Xiaomi never confirmed any of these specifications.
Now, the latest claim indicates the Xiaomi Civi 6 may never launch. Instead, the report suggests the company has ended the entire Civi lineup rather than skipping a single generation.
A Smartphone Series That Lasted Five Years
Xiaomi introduced the original Civi smartphone in China in September 2021.
The series mainly targeted younger users by combining slim designs with strong camera performance. Selfie photography remained one of its biggest selling points throughout its lifecycle.
Over the following years, Xiaomi expanded the lineup with several models.
The series included:
- Xiaomi Civi
- Xiaomi Civi 1S
- Xiaomi Civi 2
- Xiaomi Civi 3
- Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro
- Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro
The company also expanded the brand beyond China.
For example, Xiaomi launched the Civi 4 Pro in India as the Xiaomi 14 Civi.
Meanwhile, reports suggested the Civi 5 Pro could arrive internationally as the Xiaomi 15 Civi. However, that wider global launch never happened.
The Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro eventually became the final officially released model. It debuted in China in May 2025.
The smartphone featured a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, a 50MP selfie camera, Leica-branded rear cameras, and a starting price of 2,999 yuan.
Will Xiaomi Focus on the T-Series Instead?
The report also suggests Xiaomi could shift more attention toward its T-series smartphones.
The company introduced the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro globally in May 2026. Later, Xiaomi also released the lineup in China for the first time.
The T-series already sits below Xiaomi’s flagship models. At the same time, it offers premium processors, Leica camera systems, and large batteries.
Even so, Xiaomi has not stated that the T-series will replace the Civi lineup.
Likewise, the company has not explained its long-term plans for the Civi brand.
No Official Confirmation From Xiaomi
Reports suggest inconsistent sales across different markets may have influenced Xiaomi’s decision.
However, the latest information still comes from a well-known industry tipster rather than Xiaomi itself.
The company has neither confirmed the discontinuation of the Civi series nor announced the Xiaomi Civi 6.
For now, the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro appears to be the final smartphone in the lineup. Unless Xiaomi says otherwise, the future of the once-popular Civi series remains uncertain.
