Pakistani social media personalities Zulqarnain Sikandar and Kanwal Aftab have opened up about their strained relationship with fellow YouTuber Rajab Butt.
During a recent podcast, the couple reflected on their former friendship with Rajab. They also addressed the question, “Rajab Butt Mera Sala?”, which has gained attention online.
Zulqarnain Recalls His Bond With Rajab
Zulqarnain said Rajab once regularly sought his advice about personal and professional matters.
He described their former relationship by saying, “Rajab Butt muj say mashwaray karta tha,” meaning “Rajab Butt used to take advice from me.”
According to Zulqarnain, Rajab consulted both him and Kanwal before making important decisions. He said the two families once shared a strong connection and trusted each other with personal matters.
The friendship reportedly continued for more than two years. Zulqarnain also recalled supporting Rajab during his early content-creation journey through collaborations and exposure.
Kanwal Still Respects Rajab’s Mother
Kanwal also spoke about Rajab’s mother and said she continues to call her “Maa Ji.”
She explained that she still considers her an elder and respects her despite the disagreements between their families.
Kanwal recalled a previous comment made by Rajab’s mother that later became a topic of discussion online. However, she said she and Zulqarnain chose not to turn the matter into another controversy.
She believed the comment may have simply come out during a conversation rather than being intended as a major dispute.
Kanwal Addresses the Controversy
The discussion also touched on Kanwal’s involvement in controversies surrounding Rajab’s personal life.
Kanwal explained that her connection with Rajab came from their former relationship. She also said she had no personal association with some people who later became involved in the dispute.
She suggested that treating Rajab like a brother came with an expectation of mutual respect.
Kanwal further recalled an incident involving a social media post where she claimed Rajab made harsh remarks about her and her family.
She responded by saying people should not judge her marriage or in-laws without knowing the reality of their family life.

The disagreement between the creators became public in March 2026. It later developed into a wider social media dispute involving statements and accusations from both sides.
The phrase “Rajab Butt Mera Sala?” has now become another talking point surrounding their complicated history.
