One more foreign tourist went missing in Mansehra, Pakistan. The Irish tourist, Alexander, went missing while returning from Musa Ka Musalla peak. It is located in Mansehra.
The tourist, identified as Alexander, climbed the mountain with another foreign national before beginning his descent.
According to police, both tourists travelled to Musa Ka Musalla without obtaining the required No Objection Certificate (NOC).
Musa Ka Musalla, also known locally as Musalla Choti or MKM, rises to about 4,080 metres above sea level.
Police said the two tourists decided to descend separately while returning from the peak.
However, Alexander failed to reach the expected location and was subsequently reported missing.
Search Operation Underway
Police and local authorities have launched a search operation to locate the missing Irish tourist.
Rescue teams are searching the mountainous terrain while authorities assess possible routes taken during the descent.
The area presents difficult terrain and challenging conditions, which could complicate efforts to locate the tourist.
Authorities have urged visitors to follow required procedures and obtain official permission before travelling to remote mountainous areas.
Recent Mountaineering Tragedy
The incident comes after another deadly mountaineering disaster in northern Pakistan last month.
An avalanche on Broad Peak reportedly killed all 10 members of an international expedition during a summit attempt.
The victims included British-Nepali mountaineer Nirmal Purja and climbers from Oman, Pakistan, China and the United States.
The avalanche struck at an altitude of around 7,000 metres, while severe weather hampered recovery operations.
Efforts are underway to recover the missing Irish tourist Alexander.
