Iran Strikes
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a stern warning to the United States following a series of airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, calling the attacks a blatant act of aggression and vowing “devastating retaliation.” In a statement released Sunday, the IRGC accused Washington of working in tandem with Israel to destabilize the region and undermine Iran’s peaceful nuclear progress.
The statement described the strikes—which targeted key nuclear installations at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan—as a “clear violation” of international norms, including the United Nations Charter, the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), and Iran’s sovereign rights.
According to Iranian officials, the facilities were operating under the full supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and posed no threat to regional or international security.
The airstrikes were publicly confirmed by US President Donald Trump through his social media accounts, marking a significant escalation in an already tense standoff between Tehran and Washington. The IRGC condemned the attack as a “criminal act” carried out in coordination with the Israeli government, aimed at halting Iran’s scientific and technological advancements.
“The actions of the criminal American regime demonstrate a total disregard for international law and a dangerous willingness to destabilize an entire region,” the IRGC said. It emphasized that the presence of numerous US military bases across the Middle East—rather than serving as a projection of strength—constitutes a critical vulnerability. “The number, scale, and spread of American bases do not intimidate us. Instead, they present targets that can be exploited in due time,” the statement declared.
The IRGC further claimed that Iran’s armed forces had tracked the flight paths and departure locations of the US aircraft involved in the operation, and that those locations were now under continuous Iranian surveillance. “Those who have dared to violate our land must now await consequences that will bring regret and irreversible loss,” the statement warned.
Iran’s military leadership accused the United States of repeating the strategic blunders of its past Middle Eastern campaigns and criticized Washington’s inability to recognize the consequences of aggressive foreign policy. “The failure of American policies in the region is evident. This latest act of aggression only underscores their strategic incompetence and ignorance of regional dynamics,” the IRGC said.
Reaffirming Iran’s commitment to its nuclear program, the IRGC stated that military threats and airstrikes would not derail its scientific development. Instead, it claimed such actions would only strengthen the resolve of Iranian scientists and deepen national unity. “Our nuclear program is peaceful, indigenous, and unstoppable,” it said.
As part of its response, the IRGC pledged to continue Operation True Promise III, warning that its retaliatory strikes—already reportedly launched against Israeli positions—would intensify. “These operations will continue with precision, force, and determination, beyond the calculations of the aggressors,” the Guard warned.
Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI) also weighed in, condemning the strikes as an assault on international legal frameworks. It stressed that the targeted facilities were under IAEA oversight and insisted that the agency’s failure to prevent or condemn the attacks raises serious concerns about its neutrality.
“The international community must not remain silent in the face of such lawlessness,” the AEOI said. “This is a test for the global order—either the rule of law prevails, or we descend into jungle rules.” It added that all necessary legal actions were being pursued to defend Iran’s rights and protect its scientific infrastructure.
As of now, the US government has not officially responded to the Iranian accusations or to the claims of surveillance on American aircraft and regional bases. The Pentagon has also remained silent regarding the operational details of the strikes and Iran’s threats of retaliation.
