Coach Praises Irfan After Asian Games Exit
Tariq said Kim appeared tired during the second round before landing a long swinging punch. The punch struck Irfan on the chin and sent him to the canvas.
The coach said Irfan showed courage despite competing internationally for the first time. He also highlighted the debutant’s confidence and willingness to attack throughout the contest.
Tariq believes Irfan can develop into a strong boxer with further international experience. He added that the South Korean opponent had also shown signs of fatigue before the stoppage.
Irfan’s defeat ended Pakistan’s representation in the men’s 90kg boxing competition. Nevertheless, his debut provided valuable experience at the continental sporting event.
