Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stressed that the success of ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States depends on full compliance with the commitments agreed by both sides. His remarks came as diplomatic talks continue in Switzerland.
In a statement posted on X, President Pezeshkian said the effectiveness of the negotiations relies on strict adherence to the agreed obligations and their precise implementation. He emphasised that both parties must honour their commitments to ensure meaningful progress.
Furthermore, the Iranian president said advancement in the talks would be measured through practical compliance with the responsibilities accepted during the negotiations. He indicated that actions, rather than public statements, would determine the outcome of the diplomatic process.
Pezeshkian also cautioned against comments made outside the agreed framework of the negotiations. He said statements that fall beyond the mutually accepted text do not contribute to advancing the dialogue or strengthening confidence between the two sides.
His remarks come as Iran and the United States continue discussions aimed at reaching a broader agreement following recent diplomatic progress. The negotiations have focused on implementing agreed commitments and resolving outstanding issues through dialogue.
The latest statement reflects Tehran’s emphasis on maintaining discipline throughout the negotiation process while avoiding public rhetoric that could complicate ongoing diplomatic efforts.
