Iranian women and girls are reportedly receiving training in the use and assembly of AK-47 assault rifles amid fears of renewed attacks on Iran, according to videos circulating on social media.
One widely shared clip, reposted by the Russian state-backed media outlet RT, shows a female Iranian television reporter presenting news while holding an AK-47 rifle.

In the video, the reporter says:
โIf needed, I am ready to sacrifice my life for my country.โ
She also declares:
โIf, God forbid, our men fall, then the women โ the daughters of this land โ will stand against the enemy, weapon in hand.โ
The footage additionally shows young Iranian girls handling firearms during what appears to be military-style training sessions.
