TEHRAN: Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has shared an emotional message on social media following the burial of what he described as newly recovered remains of children in Minab, using the occasion to condemn the recent conflict and call for greater international accountability.
In a post published on X, Baqaei wrote that the burial marked not only the laying to rest of children’s remains but also the grief of their families and the wider Iranian nation. He said each fragment represented “an enduring testament to a suffering that will never be erased from the memory of Iranians.”
The spokesperson accompanied his remarks with lines of Persian poetry reflecting on loss, resilience and remembrance, portraying the tragedy as one that extends beyond national borders.
