Iran launched another round of attacks targeting the largest US military base in Qatar. Iran also targeted the US assets in other Gulf countries after earlier American strikes on Iranian positions near the Strait of Hormuz, according to media reports.
Meanwhile, US Central Command said American forces carried out additional strikes against Iranian military targets, including coastal surveillance sites, air defence systems, logistics infrastructure, and maritime capabilities.

The latest escalation has further increased tensions across the region. Military operations have continued for several consecutive nights, raising concerns about wider instability and potential disruptions to international shipping routes.
However, officials have not released a comprehensive assessment of the latest battlefield damage.
Casualty claims
Social media posts and some online reports claimed that Iran struck the largest US military base in Qatar, killing several American troops and destroying military equipment. They also circulated videos showing large explosions and heavy smoke.
Moreover, Qatari authorities have stated that Iranian missile attacks resulted in interceptions or limited impacts, while official statements did not confirm the mass American casualties described in viral posts.
As a result, there is currently no reliable confirmation that several US troops were killed or that the circulating video accurately depicts the attack described in the claims.
