US Cruise Line Promotes Four-Year Escape from Trump Era

Trump Era

Amid the political turbulence following Donald Trump’s re-election, Florida-based cruise company Villa Vie Residences has unveiled a unique escape plan for Americans looking to distance themselves from the new presidential term.

The initiative, titled the “Tour La Vie” program, offers a luxurious, multi-year global voyage, appealing to those seeking refuge from the political climate.

The “Tour La Vie” program spans an impressive 140 countries and 425 ports, strategically avoiding stops in the United States. It features four flexible packages: the one-year “Escape from Reality,” the two-year “Mid-Term Selection,” the three-year “Everywhere but Home,” and the full four-year “Skip Forward.”

Pricing begins at $40,000 per year, with single-occupancy cabins for the four-year package starting at $256,000. For those seeking premium comfort, the program offers luxurious options such as Ocean View villas for a one-time payment starting at $350,000.

Villa Vie Residences CEO Mikael Petterson clarified that the initiative was not designed as a political campaign, despite coinciding with Trump’s re-election. “It just happened that Trump won, and there are more Democrats unhappy living in the US now than Republicans,” he explained.

Petterson emphasized that the concept originated before the election results, targeting a divided electorate regardless of the outcome.

The flagship vessel, the Odyssey, boasts state-of-the-art accommodations for up to 600 residents, offering a comprehensive range of all-inclusive amenities.

These include meals, WiFi, medical care, weekly housekeeping, and bi-weekly laundry services. Passengers will wake up each day to a new destination, enjoying hassle-free luxury while exploring the world.

For politically active residents, the program ensures continued engagement with US democracy.

Travelers can cast their votes in the 2026 midterm elections and the 2028 presidential election through mail-in ballots, which the cruise line will handle.

Petterson concluded, “If you’re looking for an escape, there’s no better place than on a ship. You can wake up every day to a new backyard and get everything you need taken care of.”

While the timing aligns with political events, the company maintains its neutral stance, aiming to offer a stress-free solution to those feeling overwhelmed by the current climate.
