Dr. Naqeeb Khalid, a Pakistani physician based in Toronto has been successful in his attempts to create an instant diagnostic test for COVID-19 using a smartphone. He was extended congratulations by the Pakistan High Commissioner for his excellence achievement.
Dr. Naqeeb Khalid graduated from King Edward Medical University in 1983 following which he gained experience in inventing medical devices and system. This invention is based upon a digitized platform which has the ability to instantly display the result on smartphones.
“Instant, accurate and low-cost testing that does not rely on laboratory testing is essential in containing the pandemic and together with vaccines, we can control the Covid-19 outbreak and return our lives and economies to normal,” said Najeeb Khalid.
