Three Palestinians Killed By Israeli Soldiers In West Bank

Three Palestinians were seized in the raid, according to Israel’s internal security organisation, Shin Bet. In Wednesday’s raids, the military and police apprehended at least 20 persons they classified as terrorists.

Israeli forces killed three Palestinians in the occupied West Bank on Wednesday, one of them was a teenager and the other a lawyer, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

A 14-year-old boy was shot and murdered near Bethlehem, according to the Health Ministry. Israel’s military said that they had used “live fire” to halt the “immediate threat” of a petrol bomb.

Israeli military gunfire killed a Palestinian in Nablus, the ministry said, referring to a Jewish shrine that Israel was repairing on Wednesday after Palestinians had vandalised it.

The man was identified as Mohammed Assaf, 34, a lawyer, by Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO).

An anti-settlement official from the PLO reported Assaf had been taking his nephews to school and had stopped on the side of the road to observe the situation unfold when fighting broke out at the tomb.

According to a military statement released Wednesday, an “armed suspect” was killed near Nablus. If that was a reference to Assaf, it was not immediately evident.

While the tomb was being repaired, the Israeli military had taken control of the surrounding region. Hundreds of Palestinians threw stones and petrol bombs at the troops, who were forced to respond with live fire and riot dispersal methods, according to the military report.

An Israeli arrest raid sparked skirmishes in Ramallah, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. Another Palestinian was murdered. Israel’s military and police did not issue a statement at the time of this writing.

Hundreds of Palestinians could be seen hurling rocks at Israeli armoured vehicles, and gunshots could be heard from time to time.

Three Palestinians were seized in the raid, according to Israel’s internal security organisation, Shin Bet. In Wednesday’s raids, the military and police apprehended at least 20 persons they classified as terrorists.

Because of assaults by two Palestinians from the West Bank and three members of Israel’s Arab minority at the end of March that have murdered 14 Israelis, the Israeli military has increased its raids in the area.

Since January, Israeli soldiers have murdered over 20 Palestinians, many of whom were armed.

Israel is “totally accountable for the consequences” of its military’s conduct, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday. President Mahmoud Abbas’s spokesperson called on the international community to intervene.

Israel has accused Palestinian Authority officials of promoting violence against Israelis by providing stipends to families of Palestinian prisoners, some of whom were convicted in lethal assaults, and of not doing enough to restrain terrorists.

When Israeli-Palestinian violence erupted in the past, it coincided with Ramadan, which spiralled into an 11-day conflict between Gaza terrorists and Israel in May.
