Pakistan Dismisses Indian Propaganda on Chinese Military Presence in Balochistan as Baseless

ISLAMABAD: Following the failed terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express, India and its intelligence agency, RAW, have launched another propaganda campaign, allegedly aimed at facilitating the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), a key terrorist group in Balochistan.

The latest wave of misinformation claims that Chinese private military companies (PMCs) are being deployed in Pakistan to protect China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects and Chinese personnel.

However, Pakistani authorities have categorically rejected these assertions as false and misleading.

Indian Media’s Role in Spreading Disinformation

The narrative was initially propagated by the Indian newspaper India Today, which presented unverified claims suggesting the presence of Chinese PMCs in Pakistan. Indian media and social media accounts have amplified these reports, similar to how misinformation was spread during the terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express.

As soon as these claims surfaced on Indian social media, the banned BLA’s digital networks also began circulating the same narrative. However, Pakistani authorities have dismissed the reports as fabricated and malicious.

Pakistan’s Official Response

Pakistani officials have clarified that no Chinese security forces have been deployed in Pakistan, apart from personnel stationed at designated sites in Lahore and Karachi for specific security purposes. Authorities assert that this disinformation campaign is a deliberate attempt to create unnecessary speculation and destabilize the region.

This misinformation is part of a broader Indian strategy to influence political and security developments in Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan. Officials believe that India’s support for terrorism in the province is evident, as demonstrated by the confession of captured Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav, who admitted to India’s role in funding and arming the BLA and other militant groups.

Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty and stability against external propaganda and hybrid warfare tactics aimed at disrupting peace in the region.
