Pakistan-Afghanistan Joint Coordination Committee Meets in Kabul to discuss Bilateral Ties

KABUL/ISLAMABAD: A key session of the Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) aimed at deepening Pakistan-Afghanistan relations is currently underway in Kabul, signaling a renewed commitment to regional cooperation and diplomacy.

Leading the high-level Pakistani delegation is Special Envoy on Afghanistan, Muhammad Sadiq, accompanied by senior representatives from multiple ministries and departments. The agenda focuses on economic collaboration and a range of mutual interests critical to both nations.

Ahead of the JCC session, Pakistan’s Head of Mission, Ubaid Ur Rehman Nizamani, held a significant meeting with Afghanistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mullah Amir Khan Muttaqi.

According to sources, the dialogue spans key issues, including the dignified repatriation of Afghan refugees, strategies for ensuring regional peace and stability, and avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation.

Officials from both sides have conveyed a shared commitment to building future partnerships, highlighting the importance of sustained dialogue and effective communication.

The discussions are taking place in a positive and cordial atmosphere, reflecting the intent to foster long-term engagement and mutual understanding.
