The “Made in Pakistan” exhibition, held from June 28 to 30 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, featured the participation of more than 80 corporate logistics firms.
Organized under the auspices of the National Logistics Corporation (NLC), the event attracted numerous government, business, and industry representatives from Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
Over the course of three days, attendees explored NLC’s capabilities in facilitating cross-border transportation. The Director General of NLC presented a specialized paper on enhancing regional trade through comprehensive multimodal logistics solutions.
The NLC delegation engaged in exclusive business-to-business meetings with Uzbek officials, totaling approximately 2,000 meetings throughout the exhibition. A significant outcome was the signing of a $40 million Memorandum of Understanding between a Pakistani company and the Bukhara government.
Key meetings were also held between the heads of International Investment and Export, the Textile Industry Association of Uzbekistan, and the Chief Executive of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan.
NLC highlighted its efficient transportation services, emphasizing its role in providing Uzbek traders with expedited access to regional and global markets via Pakistani ports. The NLC booth served as a focal point at the exhibition, showcasing a range of logistics services including the Transport Internationaux Routiers system.
Delegates and business representatives received detailed briefings on NLC’s efficient logistics operations in terms of time and cost.
The event facilitated crucial government-level discussions, setting the stage for enhanced trade and economic ties between Pakistan, Uzbekistan, and the broader Central Asian region.
