Meghan and Harry Accused of Denying Basic Rights to Archie and Lilibet

Basic Rights

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are being accused of depriving their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, of their basic rights by keeping them distanced from the royal family.

This claim comes from Thomas Markle, the Duchess of Sussex’s father, who recently expressed his desire to meet his grandchildren.

In an interview with Woman’s Weekly, Thomas Markle shared his sadness over the situation, stating that Archie and Lilibet are being “denied” a royal lifestyle and the opportunity to bond with their cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

“It struck me as very sad that Meghan and Harry’s kids are being denied the right to know their cousins, who look like fantastic children, or take part in things like Trooping the Colour, which is their birthright,” he said.

Thomas also pointed out that Archie and Lilibet are reaching an age where they will start to ask questions about their heritage and the family they’ve been kept from.

“They are getting to the age where they will start to ask questions, as all kids do,” he noted. “I find myself wondering how Archie and Lilibet will feel in a few years’ time when they realize all the things they have missed out on.”

Adding to his concerns, Thomas highlighted that both he and King Charles share a desire to see their grandchildren.

He even made a lighthearted comment about never expecting to find himself in a situation similar to King Charles. “The Sussex kids have two grandpas who want to see them,” he said.

The situation has sparked a broader conversation about the rights of royal children and the impact of their parents’ decisions on their upbringing.

The debate continues as to whether Meghan and Harry’s choices are in the best interests of Archie and Lilibet, or if they are inadvertently depriving their children of important familial connections and cultural experiences.
