The Saudi government has banned its citizens from marrying women from four countries, including Pakistan.
According to Arab media reports, the countries that have been banned for marriage with women belonging to Pakistan and two other Muslim nations including Bangladesh and Chad, while one non- Muslim country which is Myanmar.
According to media reports, the decision was made to discourage the growing trend of Saudi men marrying foreign women.
A Saudi man wishing to marry a foreign woman must obtain permission from the relevant authorities before marriage and submit his application in accordance with the rules.
Similarly, a divorced Saudi man can no longer apply for marriage for 6 months.
The person applying for marriage must be over 25 years of age and all his / her identity documents must be verified by the district mayor.
Similarly, if a person is already married, he will have to attach medical documents along with his application to show that his first wife is disabled or has a chronic illness.
