LONDON: In a significant development regarding the attack on the vehicle of former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice (retired) Qazi Faez Isa, London police visited the Pakistan High Commission to gather further details.
The British Diplomatic Police met with Pakistani officials at the High Commission, where they were briefed on the alleged attack on Justice Isa’s vehicle. According to the briefing, the former CJP was inside the vehicle at the time of the incident.
The police assured the High Commission that a thorough investigation would be conducted, with plans to review video footage related to the attack. The incident involved a group of PTI activists who attempted to block the former chief justice’s vehicle, which is registered to the Pakistan High Commission. The attackers also tried to smash the windows of the car, chanting slogans and running alongside the vehicle.
Earlier, Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the attack, calling it an act of aggression. He directed the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to take immediate steps to identify the individuals responsible for the incident.
It is worth noting that the Pakistan High Commission in London has formally lodged a complaint regarding the attack, though it has not named any specific individuals involved.
