US President Joe Biden has proposed a counter-plan to China’s Belt and Road project. Biden says he made the suggestion during a telephone conversation with British Prime Minister Borris Johnson.
Biden told reporters that he had advised the British prime minister that a move similar to China’s Belt and Road project must come from other democratic states as well.
It should be noted that China has provided assistance to several countries to build roads, railways, dams and ports under the Belt and Road Project.
China has also carried out the mega project in Pakistan called China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in which extensive infrastructure projects have been executed successfully so far.
