Bengaluru Man Arrested for Assisting Illegal Pakistani Migrants

Indian police have arrested a man in Bengaluru accused of aiding illegal Pakistani migrants. The suspect, identified as Pervez Ahmed, was apprehended near KSR railway station on Sunday.

Pervez, allegedly associated with the Mehdi Foundation International (MFI), is accused of assisting Pakistani nationals in obtaining identification documents such as Aadhaar cards, voter IDs, and passports.

His arrest came after authorities discovered two Pakistani families living illegally in Bengaluru. The investigation began following the arrest of Rashid Ali Siddiqui and his family, who had entered India illegally from Bangladesh. During questioning, Rashid disclosed that he had been in contact with Pervez, who facilitated their migration and provided essential documentation.

Pervez is currently under interrogation as authorities explore potential funding from MFI to support the illegal residency of Pakistani nationals in India. This case underscores growing concerns about illegal immigration and the networks that enable it.
