Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has submitted a list of six lawyers seeking a meeting with jailed former prime minister Imran Khan at Adiala Jail.
The party submitted the names to prison authorities on Monday. The lawyers plan to meet the PTI founder on Tuesday, October 20.
PTI Submits Six Lawyers’ Names to Jail Authorities
According to reports, Advocate Awais Younis Chaudhry handed over the list to the Adiala Jail administration.
The list includes Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Faisal Malik, Awais Younis Chaudhry, Niazullah Niazi, Raja Mateen, and Jamshed Khan.
The lawyers aim to meet Imran Khan under existing court directions.
Tuesday serves as the designated day for legal representatives to meet the former prime minister.
Imran Khan’s Family Also Expected to Visit
Besides the legal team, other members of Imran Khan’s family may visit him at Adiala Jail.
However, authorities have not confirmed whether all six lawyers will receive permission to meet him.
The planned visit comes amid continuing concerns over the PTI founder’s access to legal representatives.
Earlier, PTI leaders raised objections over restrictions on meetings with Khan.
The party has repeatedly demanded regular access to its founder for legal consultations.
PTI Continues Efforts to Secure Legal Access
Imran Khan has remained in prison since 2023 while facing several legal cases.
His detention continues to shape political developments and discussions between the government and opposition.
The latest request reflects PTI’s efforts to maintain contact with its imprisoned leader.
For now, the party awaits confirmation from prison authorities regarding Tuesday’s meeting.
