The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has increased the Transport Monetization Allowance for judicial officers and court officials from BPS-17 to BPS-22. The revised rates will take effect from July 1, 2026.
The notification was issued by the Registrar of the Islamabad High Court. Moreover, Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar approved the revised allowance.
Under the new policy, officers in BPS-22 will receive a monthly transport allowance of Rs. 250,000. Meanwhile, officers in BPS-21 will receive Rs. 195,000 per month.
Revised Allowance Rates Announced
According to the notification, officers in BPS-20 will receive Rs. 175,000 monthly. In addition, BPS-19 officers will receive Rs. 150,000 every month.
Officials in BPS-18 will receive Rs. 100,000, while BPS-17 officers will receive Rs. 60,000 monthly. Consequently, the revised structure covers all eligible judicial officers from BPS-17 to BPS-22.
Budget Allocated For Financial Year 2026-27
The notification stated that the revised allowance will become effective from July 1, 2026. Furthermore, the expenditure will be covered through the allocated budget for the 2026-27 financial year.
The funding will come from the approved budgets of the Islamabad High Court and the District Judiciary, Islamabad.
