Pakistani host Adnan Faisal has reignited a controversy by claiming to identify the actor he alleges mocked veteran performer Syed Mohammed Ahmed on a drama set.
In a video shared with his podcast platform, FHM Pakistan, Faisal alleged that the actor seen in behind-the-scenes footage was Fahad Sheikh.
The video included clips from what appeared to be a drama set, where Sheikh was allegedly heard making remarks about Mohammed Ahmedโs appearance.
Several other people present in the footage also appeared to laugh during the alleged exchange.
Reacting to the video, Faisal criticised what he described as disrespectful treatment of a senior artist.
He questioned how people would react if similar comments targeted their own parents or elderly family members.
Moreover, Faisal argued that mocking an elderโs appearance, age or personal belongings should never be acceptable, even as a joke.
According to Faisal, the alleged remarks referred to Mohammed Ahmedโs baldness, weight, financial background and leather bag.
He said such comments reflected a lack of respect for an actor who has spent decades contributing to Pakistanโs entertainment industry.
Faisal also urged those he believes were involved to issue a public apology to Syed Mohammed Ahmed.
Furthermore, he called for an apology to the entertainment industry and the public over the alleged incident.
He warned that failing to address the controversy could lead to continued criticism from audiences and media commentators.
Neither Fahad Sheikh nor other individuals allegedly shown in the footage had publicly responded to the claims at the time of reporting.
The allegations remain unverified, and no independent confirmation has been provided regarding the authenticity of the video or the alleged remarks.
