HMD has launched the new Vibe2 Pro smartphone in India, bringing 5G connectivity, a large battery and a high-refresh-rate display.
The phone targets budget-conscious users with a combination of modern hardware and a relatively low starting price.
120Hz Display and Modern Design
The HMD Vibe2 Pro features a 6.78-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The higher refresh rate is designed to provide smoother scrolling and animations.
The smartphone is available in Aqua Green, Cosmic Purple and Silver Mist. It also includes stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a USB Type-C port.
Dimensity 6300 and 5G Support
The Vibe2 Pro is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 chipset and supports 5G networks.
It runs Android 16 and offers dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3 and GPS. HMD is offering 6GB and 8GB RAM options, with both versions featuring 128GB of internal storage.
A microSD card slot allows users to expand storage further.
64MP Sony Camera and Large Battery
The rear camera system includes a 64MP Sony IMX682 main sensor and a 2MP macro camera. Video recording supports up to 1080p at 30 frames per second.
For selfies and video calls, the phone has a 13MP front camera.
The Vibe2 Pro packs a 6,000mAh battery with 33W wired charging. HMD has not provided an official battery endurance rating.
Price and Availability
The 6GB/128GB model starts at $156, while the 8GB/128GB version costs $177 based on Indian pricing.
HMD has not yet confirmed international launch dates or pricing for other markets.
