Undergraduate Scholarships Cover Up to 100 Percent Tuition
The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan has announced scholarship opportunities at the German University of Technology in Oman.
The scholarships are available for international students seeking admission for the 2026 academic intake.
GUtech is offering full and partial tuition awards for undergraduate students. Separate discounts are also available for Master’s students, university alumni and employees of partner organisations.
The university will award 10 Undergraduate Excellence Scholarships. Each scholarship will cover 100 percent of tuition fees for four years.
Applicants must have at least 95 percent marks in Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification.
GUtech will also offer 20 Undergraduate Merit Scholarships. These awards will cover 50 percent of tuition fees.
Students must have at least 90 percent marks or an equivalent academic result to qualify.
International Bachelor’s students may also apply for scholarships covering up to 20 percent of tuition fees.
Existing self-funded GUtech students could become eligible for DAAD scholarships after completing their first academic year. These scholarships may cover around 50 percent of tuition costs.
Eligibility and English Language Requirements
The full and partial undergraduate scholarships are open to new students of all nationalities.
Applicants must qualify for direct admission and must not already receive another scholarship.
Candidates applying for the full scholarship need at least 95 percent in Grade 12.
Equivalent qualifications include 37 points in the International Baccalaureate, two A-star grades at A-Level or 95 percent under the CBSE system.
Applicants for the 50 percent merit scholarship need at least 90 percent in Grade 12.
Equivalent results include 36 International Baccalaureate points, two A grades at A-Level or 90 percent under CBSE.
Recipients must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 throughout their studies.
English is the main language of instruction at GUtech.
Direct admission normally requires an IELTS Academic score of 6.0.
Applicants may also submit a TOEFL iBT score of 76 or a Duolingo English Test score of 110.
Students must meet all academic and subject requirements for their selected degree programme.
Master’s Discounts and Application Deadline
GUtech graduates, including international alumni, can receive a 50 percent tuition discount for eligible Master’s programmes.
Employees of organisations participating in GUtech’s Preferred Partners Programme may receive tuition waivers of up to 30 percent.
The discount can increase to 50 percent when three or more employees from the same organisation join a Master’s programme in one intake.
The deadline for Undergraduate Excellence and Merit Scholarship applications is September 1, 2026.
The International Student Scholarship for the winter semester carries the same deadline.
Scholarship results are expected to be announced by 5:00 pm on September 10, 2026.
Applicants must first submit an admission application through GUtech’s online system.
They should save the application number generated during the admission process.
Candidates must then prepare four essays. Each essay must contain at least 300 words.
The final step is to complete the relevant scholarship form available through the GUtech scholarship portal.
