US and Pakistan Set to Finalise Nurse Employment Process in New York

Nurse Employment Process

Pakistan and the United States have reached an agreement to finalize the employment process for qualified Pakistani nurses in New York.

The decision was made during a meeting between Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Phil Ramos, Deputy Speaker of the New York State Assembly, held in Islamabad.

Deputy Speaker Ramos acknowledged the pressing need for qualified nurses in the US healthcare system and emphasized Pakistan’s substantial potential to meet this demand.

Minister Naqvi, in turn, assured prompt measures to facilitate the deployment of Pakistani nurses to New York, recognizing the opportunity to address both countries’ needs through this collaboration.

During their discussions, Minister Naqvi underscored the broader opportunities for bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and the US, particularly in education, healthcare, and economic development sectors.

He highlighted recent positive interactions between Islamabad Police and the New York Police Department, aimed at enhancing mutual cooperation in law enforcement.

Naqvi mentioned plans for an Islamabad Police delegation to visit New York soon, further strengthening ties between the two cities.

The agreement marks a significant step towards formalizing the employment pathway for Pakistani nurses in New York, aligning with efforts to address healthcare workforce shortages in the US and leveraging Pakistan’s skilled healthcare professionals.

Naqvi emphasized the importance of fostering robust partnerships between institutions in Pakistan and the US, envisioning collaborative initiatives that benefit both nations economically and socially.

He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to supporting its skilled workforce in contributing to global healthcare needs while enhancing bilateral relations with the United States.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to expedite the implementation of the agreed-upon employment process and to explore additional avenues for cooperation across various sectors.

This development reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen Pakistan-US relations through practical collaborations that address shared challenges and capitalize on mutual strengths.

In summary, the agreement underscores a strategic alignment between Pakistan and the US in addressing healthcare demands while fostering broader bilateral cooperation and mutual understanding.
