Professor Zakaria Sajid was instrumental in establishing and leading the Department of Mass Communication at the University of Karachi, where he served as chairman and later continued to teach as an adjunct professor even after his official retirement on June 30, 1988. In addition to his academic achievements, Professor Zakaria Sajid served as the director of the Press Institute of Pakistan (PIP), contributing to the professional development of journalists across the nation. His funeral prayer will be offered today, July 18, following the Zuhr prayer at Masjid Ibrahim, Jamia Karachi, followed by burial at the Jamia Karachi cemetery.
