Covid-19 cases are reaching alarming figures in Karachi. Monsoon rains, Eid-ul-Azha celebration are the common factors that are contributing to the large number of covid-19 positive cases. On Tuesday, it was 39.46 pc.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) reports that 161 of the 408 tests that were performed in the city in the previous day were positive. According to the department, Islamabad, where the Covid-19 ratio registered at 7.69 percent, was the city with the highest positive rate, followed by Karachi. Hyderabad and Peshawar are also reported to have infected rate of over 2pcs.
Generally, 255 new cases were discovered on Tuesday. Positivity rate at national level was 5.46 pc. one person died and 144 are in critical condition due to crises in last 24 hours. Previously, the NIH urged citizens to take Covid precautionary measures during the festivities, such as wearing masks, six-foot social distancing, and proper sanitization.
