Joint Collaboration to continue between SHCC and National Council of Tibb

KARACHI: President of the National Council of Tibb (NCT) and the team met with the officials of the Sindh Healthcare Commission, Directorate of Anti-Quackery regarding the continuation of joint-collaboration efforts to facilitate medical professionals and members of the Tibb Council.

President NCT, Hakim Mr. Muhammad Ahmed led the delegation that met with Director Anti Quackery, Syed Zeeshan A Shah along with General Secretary Sindh Hakim Siraj Uddin and other members of NCT.

It was mutually agreed that NCT will assist SHCC as a council member and partner stakeholder in creating more awareness of SHCC Regulations and Act with their member practitioners.

Director Anti-Quackery further briefed the council on the steps taken to facilitate Tibb council members during field operations of Anti-Quackery inspection teams.

The Council appreciated the efforts of SHCC-Directorate Anti-Quackery for practically facilitating NCT medical professionals with the aim to bring them an update on the laws that need to be followed to stay within compliance with the SHCC Act and Regulations.

Under Section 39 (G&H) of SHCC Regulations, SHCC has the legal mandate to take legal actions on noncompliant healthcare professionals, found to be working. beyond scope.

Here, it was agreed with NCT they will issue directives to council members to jointly support SHCC, in the fight to reduce and eradicate ‘quackery’ in the province.

This will result in better overall compliance with the law through joint collaboration and efforts.

Overall, both SHCC & NCT agreed to continue working in close coordination for the betterment of the healthcare community.
