Higher Education Commission has stopped enrollment in universities

On Wednesday, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) sent out a student alert saying it had temporarily stopped accepting new students at a private university.

The HEC has stated that all admissions, including those to medical schools, in the country’s three major cities of Hyderabad, Karachi, and Islamabad will be affected. In a statement, the body said that admissions would remain halted until the current crisis was resolved.
