Alkhidmat Foundation announced over 5,000 students benefited from its Academic Scholarship Program

The Alkhidmat Foundation recently held its annual convention for the Academic Scholarship Program at its central office, attended by prominent figures, including Secretary General and Chairman of Alkhidmat Education Program Syed Waqas Jafri, and other esteemed guests.

The event was facilitated by Ali Arsalan, the program manager, and featured the awarding of scholarships to top-performing students and the presentation of certificates to new scholarship holders.

Syed Waqas Jafri emphasized the importance of access to education, highlighting that over 26 million children in Pakistan are deprived of schooling.

He noted that the Alkhidmat Academic Scholarship (AAS) provides financial assistance to deserving students without discrimination, focusing on students facing financial hardships.

The program has supported 1,174 deserving students from all four provinces of Pakistan, including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, with 5,411 students receiving scholarships totaling PKR 536.1 million. The initiative has led to significant achievements, with students completing their education and going on to become successful professionals.

Other speakers at the event included Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Mangat, Vice President Ihsanullah Waqas, National Director of Education Dr. Ahmad Jibran, and Dr. Qudsia Shameem from CMH Lahore.

They emphasized the importance of mutual support, the role of volunteers in completing projects, and the guidance and career counseling provided by the program.
