HBL Islamic has been appointed the exclusive banking partner for Hajj 2027. The partnership comes through an agreement with Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.
Under the arrangement, HBL Islamic will collect Hajj dues from intending pilgrims. The Ministry will use an exclusive Shariah-compliant account established with HBL Islamic.
Hajj Payments to Become More Accessible
Intending pilgrims will also make Hajj payments through digital channels. These channels include the Ministry’s online web portal.
The partnership supports the government’s plan to digitalise the Hajj application and payment process. It also aims to make the process simpler and more convenient for pilgrims.
HBL Islamic will combine its banking network with digital payment capabilities. Meanwhile, the Ministry will continue efforts to modernise and improve Hajj-related services.
Officials Attend Partnership Signing
The agreement was signed in Islamabad in the presence of Federal Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousaf. Senior officials from the Ministry and HBL attended the signing ceremony.
The Ministry was represented by Federal Secretary Abrar Ahmad Mirza and Joint Secretary Hajj Sayyed Abdul Waheed Shah. HBL Islamic representatives included General Manager Muhammad Asad Khan and other senior executives.
The partnership is expected to strengthen digital payment facilities for Hajj applicants. It will also support the Ministry’s efforts to streamline the application and payment process.
HBL Islamic will therefore play a central role in facilitating Hajj 2027 payments. The initiative reflects the government’s broader push toward digitalising religious services.
