QUETTA: In a report, the sister of the late Kareem Jan, who was among eight individuals killed by security forces during an attack at the Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) Complex, admitted that her brother was a member of the Baloch Liberation Army.
Security personnel successfully prevented a planned assault on the Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) Complex and neutralized all eight assailants, who were members of the prohibited Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).
According to the information provided, the sister of the man believed to be a BLA member recognized her brother’s deceased body and submitted an application to receive the body for the family.
It was mentioned that Kareem Jan, a resident of Turbat, was reported missing by the Baloch Solidarity Council and is believed to be associated with BLA terrorism. This unfortunate incident took place on May 25, 2022.
As reported, BLA militants attempted to infiltrate the GPA complex with the intention of committing acts of terrorism. However, they were successfully intercepted by vigilant security forces. To safeguard the individuals within and maintain the integrity of the property, the area surrounding the GPA complex was promptly secured by the security personnel.
A vigorous firefight occurred between security personnel and terrorists, resulting in the demise of all eight BLA assailants.
In the midst of a fierce battle, two courageous soldiers, Sepoy Bahar Khan (35) and Sepoy Imran Ali (28), fought valiantly before tragically losing their lives. As reported by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), these heroes demonstrated immense bravery and ultimately attained martyrdom (Shahadat).
On Wednesday, the ISPR reported that a team of eight terrorists aimed to infiltrate Port Authority Colony in Gwadar. Fortunately, the diligent security forces were able to prevent their entry, maintaining safety in the area.
The military’s media wing reported that their security forces swiftly and efficiently confronted the terrorists. During the subsequent gunfire, all eight terrorists were neutralized. Additionally, a significant amount of weapons, ammunition, and explosives were seized from the fallen assailants.
