The cleaning teams at the Grand Mosque efficiently complete the entire cleaning process within just 35 minutes, ensuring that the comfort of Doyof Al-Rahman (Guests of the Merciful) remains unaffected.
According to the General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, a dedicated workforce of 3,500 male and female cleaners operates round the clock, utilizing 12 specialized washing machines and 679 cleaning devices to maintain the mosque’s pristine condition.
Efficient Waste Management System
To manage waste effectively, over 3,000 waste containers are strategically placed inside and outside the Grand Mosque. Every day, 70 tons of waste are collected and disposed of, increasing to 100 tons during peak seasons, all while adhering to environmentally safe disposal methods.
