On Sunday, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah reiterated that the PTI marchers would not be permitted to enter Islamabad unless their leadership promised a “peaceful protest.”
Sanaullah stated, “In compliance with the court orders, they (PTI marchers) will be allowed to enter Islamabad if they assure us of a peaceful protest,” during Geo News’ programme “Naya Pakistan.”
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah stated that the government has not made up its mind over allowing the long march to approach Islamabad.
On a National Television program “Sanaullah proclaimed, “Naya Pakistan,” adding that it had not yet been decided whether to permit their entrance into Islamabad. If they could guarantee a peaceful protest, they would be allowed to enter.”
The interior minister revealed that the government had increased the Red Zone’s perimeter and that the PTI would be permitted entry to the capital if they ensured their demonstration followed the court’s ruling.
Sanaullah said in response to the recording that surfaced yesterday of PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur and a man named Asad Khan discussing the need to bring ammunition to the long march: “They should not be permitted to enter Islamabad.”
The minister allegedly leaked an audio of Ali Amin Gandapur discussing about bringing weapons for the long march, which, according to Sanaullah, was PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s intention to cause mayhem in the capital. The tape was provided by the minister a day earlier.
“Some individuals are wanted. When they are located, questioning them will expose their motivations “The minister provided information in the show.
Negotiation offers
Sanaullah claimed that Khan sent the message to discuss the election date and the army chief’s appointment when discussing the negotiation offer made by the PTI leader and party officials.
He stated that “Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif did not accept Imran Khan’s idea,” and he added that Pervez Khattak and Fawad Chaudhry had also gotten in touch with the administration a few days prior for a similar discussion.
“Let’s get down and speak, Fawad Chaudhry suggested four to five days ago. He insisted on having the poll in March or April, but we are offering October “Sharing specifics regarding the PTI’s offer to negotiate, the minister said.
During the broadcast, Sanaullah stated, “We instructed them not to put bets, but dialogues can be held unconditionally.”
The minister also stated that there are two groups inside PTI.
He noted Khan’s unwillingness to negotiate with the Opposition by saying, “One party supports the craziness, while the other somehow wants a way out.”
He continued, “It is Imran Khan’s narrative to not talk to the Opposition. According to Khan, dying is preferable to sitting with the Opposition.
Politicians, according to Sanaullah, encourage discussion to settle disputes.
Sanaullah responded to Khan’s demand on the two essential issues, including the choice of the army chief, by saying that his party has always opposed meddling in political affairs.
“He stated that Khan’s politics encourage interference for his own benefit and that we wanted to talk to them about not interfering.
“The prime minister has the authority to choose the appointment and election dates for the army chief.
