KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced that salaries and pensions for its employees will be disbursed in advance, with payments scheduled for March 21, ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.
According to a notification from the Sindh Finance Department, all government employees in the province will receive their payments earlier than usual to help them prepare for the religious festival.
The federal and other provincial governments will also make advance payment of pay and perks of the employees well before Eidul Fitr.
Eid-ul-Fitr is expected on March 31, according to the Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO).
However, if the month of Ramazan extends to 30 days, Eid will be observed on April 1 (Tuesday).
The final date will be confirmed by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee based on moon sighting.
