Gold prices in Pakistan remained stable on Friday following a sharp increase recorded a day earlier. The pause surprised buyers who expected continued movement. However, market sentiment stayed cautious throughout the day.
According to market data, the price of 24-karat gold per tola stayed unchanged at Rs482,462. This stability came after significant volatility earlier in the week. As a result, traders adopted a wait-and-see approach.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold remained steady at Rs413,633. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold also showed no movement and stood at Rs379,177. The unchanged rates suggest temporary balance between demand and supply.
International Gold Market Shows No Movement
The calm was not limited to local markets. In the international bullion market, gold prices also showed no change. The metal traded flat at $4,601 per ounce during the session.
Global investors appeared cautious amid mixed economic signals. Therefore, gold failed to gain fresh momentum despite ongoing geopolitical concerns. Analysts believe traders are awaiting clearer direction from major economies.
Silver Prices Break the Stability Trend
Unlike gold, silver prices in Pakistan moved upward. The price of 24-karat silver per tola increased by Rs100, reaching Rs9,525. This rise reflected renewed industrial demand.
At the same time, 10 grams of silver gained Rs86 and was sold at Rs8,166. The increase contrasted sharply with goldโs stagnant performance. Consequently, silver attracted short-term interest from traders.
Market Outlook Remains Cautious
Market participants expect gold prices to remain range-bound in the near term. Buyers remain hesitant due to recent sharp fluctuations. Meanwhile, sellers are avoiding aggressive moves.
Experts say any change in global interest rate expectations could shift prices quickly. Until then, stability may persist. Therefore, investors are closely monitoring international developments.
For now, Pakistanโs gold market reflects balance rather than momentum. However, volatility may return without warning.
