Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a sharp decline on Friday, November 6, 2026, bringing relief to jewellery buyers and investors after two consecutive days of significant increases.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, the price of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs6,500 per tola, settling at Rs429,136. The sudden decline followed a period of strong gains in the domestic bullion market.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also decreased by Rs5,573, reaching Rs367,914. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold fell to Rs337,266, offering some relief to customers planning jewellery purchases.
The latest reduction came after gold prices surged during the previous two trading sessions. On Thursday, November 5, gold reached Rs435,636 per tola, reflecting significant volatility in the market.
Silver prices also recorded a downward trend. The price of 24-karat silver declined by Rs85 per tola to Rs5,678. Similarly, 10 grams of silver became cheaper by Rs73, settling at Rs4,867.
International bullion markets experienced similar pressure. Gold declined by $65 per ounce to $4,066, while silver dropped by $0.85 to $52 per ounce.
Market analysts highlight international gold rates, currency fluctuations and global economic uncertainty as important factors influencing precious metal prices in Pakistan.
The latest decline may encourage jewellery purchases ahead of the wedding season. However, investors remain cautious because prices can change significantly within a single trading session.
Despite Friday’s sharp fall, future gold prices remain uncertain, making international market trends important for buyers and investors.
