KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan extended their upward movement on Tuesday, with 24-karat gold gaining Rs2,400 per tola. The latest increase pushed the price of one tola of 24-karat gold to Rs459,736. The new rates were issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Gold has now recorded another increase after gaining Rs800 per tola during the previous session.
Gold Rates Rise Across Different Categories
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs2,058 to Rs394,149. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose by Rs1,887. The latest price reached Rs361,316.
The continued rise has kept attention focused on the local bullion market. Gold prices in Pakistan often respond to international bullion trends and currency movements. The domestic market also tracks changes in the interbank exchange rate. Therefore, fluctuations in global prices and the rupee can influence local gold rates.
International Gold Prices Gain $24
Gold also strengthened in international markets on Tuesday. The global price increased by $24 to reach $4,373 per ounce. However, the international bullion market remains sensitive to changing economic expectations.
Investors are closely monitoring inflation figures and the outlook for interest rates. These factors can influence demand for gold as an investment asset.
Gold recently reached a more than two-month high. However, prices later eased as concerns over inflation and interest rates returned to the market.
Silver Prices Also Increase in Pakistan
Silver also recorded gains in Pakistan alongside gold. The price of 24-karat silver increased by Rs62 per tola to reach Rs6,965. Similarly, 10 grams of silver became Rs53 more expensive. Its latest price stood at Rs5,971. International silver prices also moved higher. The global rate increased by 62 cents to $64.86 per ounce.
Gold Market Outlook Remains Uncertain
The latest movement in Pakistanโs bullion market reflects several factors. International gold prices remain one of the key influences. At the same time, changes in the interbank exchange rate can affect domestic prices. Global investors are now waiting for important US inflation data. They are also watching signals about future monetary policy and interest rates.
Consequently, precious-metal prices could remain volatile in the short term. For Pakistani buyers, the combination of global bullion movements and currency fluctuations will remain important. Gold prices may continue to shift as investors assess inflation risks and expectations surrounding interest rate decisions.
