Gold prices recorded a sharp increase in Pakistan on Friday, with the 24-karat gold rate rising by Rs4,700 per tola.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, gold reached Rs453,036 per tola in the local market.
24-Karat Gold Rate Rises
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs4,029, reaching Rs388,404.
Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose by Rs3,694 to settle at Rs356,050.
The increase in local gold prices came as international gold rates also moved higher.
Global Gold Prices Climb
In the international market, gold prices increased by $47, reaching $4,305 per ounce.
The rise in global prices also contributed to the increase in gold rates in Pakistan.
Silver Prices Also Increase
Silver prices also recorded gains in the local market.
The price of silver increased by Rs126 per tola to reach Rs6,963.
The price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs108, settling at Rs5,969.
International silver prices also increased by $1.26, reaching $64.85 per ounce.
