Gold prices in Pakistan rose sharply on Friday, following gains in the international market. The price of gold increased by Rs. 5,200 per tola.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), gold reached Rs. 477,136 per tola. Meanwhile, 10-gram gold increased by Rs. 4,458 to Rs. 409,067.
The latest increase followed a strong rise in gold prices during the previous session. On Thursday, gold gained Rs. 13,700 and reached Rs. 471,936 per tola.
International Gold Prices Rise Further
Gold prices also climbed in the international market on Friday. The international rate increased by $52 to reach $4,547 per ounce.
The quoted international price included a premium of $20. Consequently, stronger global prices supported the increase in Pakistanโs local gold market.
Market movements continue to influence domestic bullion prices. Traders and investors closely monitor international rates when assessing local gold prices.
Silver Prices Also Record Increase
Meanwhile, silver prices also increased in Pakistan on Friday. The price of silver rose by Rs. 210 per tola.
Following the latest increase, silver reached Rs. 7,379 per tola. The rise came alongside gains recorded in the gold market.
The latest bullion price movement reflects continued strength in precious metals. Investors continue to monitor international market trends and their impact on domestic prices.
