LAHORE: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur lashed out at the government for what he called unjustified crackdowns on PTI workers, warning that the party would retaliate if pushed beyond limits.
“Whenever we announce a movement, you arrest our people,” Gandapur said while addressing a joint parliamentary session of PTI’s Punjab and KP chapters.
“If you fire a bullet at me, don’t forget—it could hit you back,” he warned, signalling a combative stance against the government’s actions.
The PTI leader also took aim at JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, stating: “Maulana Sahib himself is sitting on Form 47. Instead of demanding change in KP, he should start with himself.”
Gandapur declared that PTI’s movement for justice and constitutional rights is already underway and would lead to a decisive outcome within 90 days.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan also addressed the gathering, announcing that the party founder’s sons would join PTI workers in the movement, emphasizing its significance and family commitment to the cause.
Earlier in the day, Gandapur led a rally in Lahore in solidarity with the suspended members of the Punjab Assembly from PTI. He described the rally as a peaceful protest against “illegal, unconstitutional, and undemocratic actions.”
“This rally sends a message of peace, love, brotherhood, and tolerance,” he said, adding that PTI’s aim is to safeguard democratic principles and uphold the Constitution.
