OGDCL and the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) have opened admissions for the fourth batch of their free technical training program.
The three-month initiative is aimed at young people from selected OGDCL operational areas across Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Balochistan.
Training will be conducted at the NAVTTC Centre of Excellence in Modern Technologies in Islamabad. The application deadline is October 7, 2026.
Nine Technical Courses Offered
The program offers nine courses covering technology, technical trades, fashion and hospitality.
Options include E-Commerce and Digital Marketing with AI integration, Advanced HVACR, Fashion Designing and Dressmaking, Industrial Electrician and Solar PV Technician.
Other courses include Plumbing and Pipe Fitting, Advanced Welding, Advanced CNC/Machinist, Hospitality Expert with professional chef training, and Auto-Mechanic with Electric Vehicle training.
OGDCL will cover training and certification costs. Selected trainees will also receive accommodation, meals and other support.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must be between 18 and 40 years old. They must have at least a Matric qualification and hold a valid CNIC.
Candidates must also have a permanent or temporary address in one of the districts listed under the program.
Eligible areas include Chakwal, Attock, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rawalpindi, Rahim Yar Khan and Jhelum in Punjab.
The listed areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa include Lakki Marwat, Kohat, Karak and Orakzai. Several districts in Sindh and Balochistan are also included.
Women are particularly encouraged to apply.
Stipend and Application Process
Selected trainees will receive a monthly stipend of Rs5,000. They will also receive a total travel allowance of Rs15,000.
Hostel accommodation and three daily meals will be provided. The program also includes industrial visits, recreational activities and soft skills training.
Eligible candidates can apply through the OGDCL-NAVTTC online application portal. Hard-copy applications can also be submitted at the NAVTTC Centre of Excellence in Islamabad.
