Four officials of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) were arrested during a raid by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Charsadda on charges of issuing identity cards to foreigners and Afghan nationals, a Private channel reported on Friday.
Among those arrested was Assistant Director and office in-charge Waqar Ahmed. FIA Peshawar officials recovered important documents and records from the suspects during the operation.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is under way. Sources said Waqar Ahmed was already facing probes in multiple other cases, while raids are continuing to arrest additional facilitators.
