ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided to appoint 36 additional officers and staff members to accelerate the verification of documents and apostilles, according to sources cited by 24NewsHD TV on Monday.
The ministry has started taking steps to make the verification process faster and more transparent as demand for document authentication services continues to require timely processing.
According to the sources, officials decided to increase staffing to ensure applicants receive verification services within the prescribed timeframe. The additional personnel will handle apostilles and other documents submitted to the ministry for authentication.
New Staff to Help Reduce Processing Time
Furthermore, sources said the ministry expects the additional workforce to reduce the time currently required to complete document and apostille verification.
The new officers and staff members will assist existing personnel in processing applications and completing verification procedures within established deadlines.
However, the report did not specify when the recruitment process would conclude or when the newly selected personnel would begin their assignments.
The ministry has increasingly focused on improving administrative arrangements surrounding document verification, an important service for Pakistanis who require authenticated documents for use abroad.

Sources also disclosed that most personnel currently handling document verification at the Foreign Ministry come from outside the ministry.
