Polling Proceeds Peacefully Across Eight Districts

AJK Election Commissioner Justice Ghulam Mustafa Mughal visited several polling stations.
He reviewed security measures, polling arrangements and facilities available for voters.
Election officials were directed to ensure that the process continued without delays or inconvenience.
Election Commission Reviews Preparations
The Election Commission completed arrangements before the start of employee voting.
District Returning Officers, Returning Officers and district administrations received detailed instructions.
Relevant institutions were ordered to ensure transparent, organised and timely polling.
The commission said all preparations must be completed in advance.
This would allow election employees to vote without affecting their assigned responsibilities.
Officials performing election duties were told to report to designated polling centres at the scheduled time.
They were also instructed to follow all voting rules issued by the Election Commission.
General Elections Scheduled for July 27
The Chief Election Commissioner said the general elections would take place on July 27, 2026.
He promised that the elections would be free, fair and transparent.
Police, the Frontier Constabulary and other law-enforcement agencies have been deployed.
Officials said security personnel were performing their duties professionally.
The Election Commission will continue monitoring polling stations and reviewing compliance reports.
