Corps commander, IGFC visit injured in hospital
ISLAMABAD: The death toll from the tragic suicide attack in Bajaur a day earlier rises to 46 as police registered a FIR of the bombing against unknown terrorists.
The First Information Report (FIR) includes various provisions, including anti-terrorism measures, stating that the blast occurred at 4:10 pm.

According to District Health Office (DHO) Dr. Faisal, the death toll has increased to 46 as three of the injured individuals succumbed to their injuries. He mentioned that the relatives of the deceased are identifying bodies and taking them with them.
Dr. Faisal has also informed that the hospital is currently holding eight bodies for identification as they remain unidentifiable at the moment.

The corps commander and inspector general frontier corps (IGFC) Bajaur reached Peshawar today.
They visited the injured individuals of the blast at the hospital and inspected the blast site.
The authorities over there briefed the two senior officials about the blast.The corps commander said, โIn this hour of grief, we, the Pakistan Army, stand side by side with the people of Bajaur.โ
โTerrorism is a scourge that needs to be eradicatedโ, said the IGFC.
A day earlier, a suicide bomber set off explosives at the workers convention of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) in the Bajaur district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).
The blast occurred during the convention held under a canopy at Dubai Market in Khar Tehsil , according to police and witnesses . As soon as JUI-F District Amir Maulana Abdul Rasheed reached the stage, the explosion took place.
K-P Police Inspector General, Akhtar Hayat Khan Gandapur, confirmed that the attendees were seated in the front row, including the bomber. The witnesses described the intensity of the blast, with its sound reverberating across faraway places.
The victims included JUI-F Tehsil Khar Amir Maulana Ziaullah Jan, Navagai Tehsil General Secretary Maulana Hameedullah, District Information Secretary Mujahid Khan, and dozens of party workers.
Senior JUI-F leader Hafiz Hamdullah was initially attending the convention, but he altered his travel plans due to other engagements. Party sources revealed that he was not present at the convention.
