The Federal Investigation Agency’s Islamabad Zone has penalised 76 officers and personnel following departmental accountability proceedings, FIA officials said.
The action was taken under the Civil Servants (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules, 2020.
10 FIA Employees Dismissed
According to officials, 10 employees were dismissed from service, while eight others were demoted.
Promotions were withheld for three years in 19 cases. The penalty was imposed for two years in 27 cases and for one year in five cases.
In another case, an employee faced a three-step reduction in the pay scale.
Six employees were also issued formal reprimands.
FIA Cites Records and Evidence
FIA officials said all officers and personnel were given an opportunity to present their positions during the departmental proceedings.
They said the penalties were imposed after reviewing available records and evidence.
The FIA Islamabad Zone said it is following a zero-tolerance policy toward disciplinary violations.
Officials said strict action would be taken against corruption, misuse of authority and unprofessional conduct.
Three Officers Receive Commendation Certificates
Separately, three FIA officers were awarded Commendation Certificates Class-II in recognition of their good performance.
