The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Islamabad Zone has taken departmental action against 76 employees over alleged misconduct and negligence.
The action includes dismissals, demotions and other disciplinary penalties.
10 Employees Dismissed, Eight Demoted
Ten employees were dismissed from service following departmental proceedings.
Another eight employees were demoted to lower positions.
The action was taken over allegations including misuse of authority, negligence, indiscipline and irresponsible conduct.
The proceedings were held under the Civil Servants (E&D) Rules, 2020.
Employees Given Opportunity to Defend Themselves
The departmental proceedings were conducted during an orderly room chaired by FIA Islamabad Zone Director Shehzad Nadeem Bokhari.
Officials said the employees were given an opportunity for personal hearings.
Their explanations and positions were considered during the proceedings.
FIA officials said available records, evidence and other relevant material were examined before penalties were imposed.
58 Employees Face Other Penalties
The remaining 58 employees received various disciplinary penalties.
In 19 cases, increments were withheld for three years.
In another 27 cases, increments were withheld for two years.
Five employees had their increments withheld for one year.
One employee received a three-stage reduction in the pay scale.
Six employees were issued formal reprimands.
The FIA said the action followed reviews of departmental discipline, professional responsibilities and public complaints.
